Misty Cadle, M.Ed., LPC, ALPS, NCC, CCMHC, SAP, MAC, AADC, CFRC

Misty Cadle is the Clinical Director and founder of our practice, providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families throughout West Virginia and Virginia. She sees clients ages 16 and older in our Princeton and Beckley offices, as well as through clinically appropriate Telehealth services.

Misty specializes in treating trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), substance use disorders, and the complex effects of chronic stress. She believes that healing happens when people understand not only what they’re experiencing, but why. By helping clients better understand how the brain and nervous system respond to trauma, stress, and life experiences, she empowers them with practical tools that create lasting change—not just symptom relief.

Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based care. Misty integrates several advanced therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Brainspotting, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acudetox (auricular acupuncture) to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.

In addition to psychotherapy, Misty is a Department of Transportation (DOT) certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), providing evaluations and return-to-duty services for safety-sensitive employees. She is also a Certified First Responder Counselor, with specialized training in supporting law enforcement officers, physicians, firefighters, EMS personnel, and other first responders who face unique occupational stressors.

Misty earned her Bachelor of Science degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Old Dominion University before completing her Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling and Human Development with honors at Lindsey Wilson College. She has worked in the mental health field since 2008 and has been practicing as a licensed therapist since 2015.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor in both West Virginia and Virginia and an approved clinical supervisor in both states, Misty is passionate about mentoring the next generation of therapists. She provides clinical supervision to counselors pursuing licensure while helping experienced clinicians continue refining their skills.

One of Misty’s greatest passions is lifelong learning. She is continually seeking advanced training to provide the most effective, research-supported treatments available because she believes her clients deserve the very best care. Whether she’s helping someone process trauma, strengthen relationships, overcome addiction, or simply reconnect with themselves, her goal is always the same: to help people build meaningful, fulfilling lives and discover that healing is possible.

Outside of the office, Misty enjoys spending time with her husband, their four children, two Huskies, and their cat. She loves traveling, being outdoors, exploring new adventures, and making memories with her family.
