Heather is a mental health and substance use disorder Clinician, offering psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples in West Virginia. She also has experience in supervising community programs and various staff. She specializes in Substance Use Disorder with and without Medicine Assisted Treatment (Suboxone, Sublocade, and Vivitrol), Depression, Anxiety, Mood disorders, trauma, and in meeting the needs of the LGBTQ+ population. She utilizes an individualized approach with therapy, customizing your treatment to meet your specific needs! Heather serves ages four and up and offers both in-office and telehealth sessions. Heather is genuine and personable, extending her passion for assisting patients to identify and remove the cause of psychological suffering by gaining a clear understanding of how the mind works and by learning the tools needed to enhance and add enrichment to your life! She does this by using a combination of cognitive based, motivational enhancement, behavioral modifying, and reality-focused approaches to her services. Heather was born and raised in Southern West Virginia. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from Bluefield State in 2004 and a Master’s of Social Work in 2023 from Walden University. Heather has over fourteen years of experience in the social services field and over five years of experience in the therapeutic field. Heather has always had a deep and genuine connection with her patients and is diligent in ensuring her patients receive the highest quality of care possible so they can embrace self-empowerment and a higher quality of life.
